Cyclizine and multiple births
Cyclizine is a medication used to treat nausea and vomiting. It is also used to treat motion sickness and vertigo. Cyclizine is available over-the-counter and as a generic medication.
Cyclizine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance in the body that causes nausea and vomiting.
Cyclizine is used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by conditions such as the flu, pregnancy, motion sickness, and vertigo. It is also used to treat symptoms of allergic reactions, such as hives and itching.
Cyclizine is usually taken orally. The medication should be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. The dosage and frequency of cyclizine varies depending on the condition being treated.
Cyclizine may cause side effects. The most common side effect is drowsiness. Other side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation.
Cyclizine may interact with other medications. Be sure to tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products.
Cyclizine is generally safe for most people. However, the medication may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions, such as glaucoma, asthma, and heart disease. Cyclizine may also not be suitable for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
